Hello! I'm Grady Bartlett, a recent graduate from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Philosophy. During my time at Dayton
I was able to greatly expand my understanding of the best practices in programming and was given the opportunity to practice my skills by working on projects from numerous fields in
the computer science domain. From these projects, some of my favorite involved working on robotics, cybersecurity, mobile app development, 3D modeling in blender, and web design.
Through my education I was able to develop a true passion for expanding my knowledge and testing my abilities. Now that I have graduated and am no longer furthering my education, I am
looking for a position in a professional field that can bring me the same opportunities to test myself while also expanding my passion.
Alongside my passion for expanding my capabilities in the realm of computer science, I have long since been a devoted athlete. Growing up I played seemingly every sport available and
I have been blessed by the various social and life skills that can be translated from the field to the real world. Being a member of a team embeds a sense of responsibility and camaraderie
that is unable to be matched anywhere else. It has taught me to be competitive both against other teams and within my own, and I have learned that working as a team means you must improve
yourself using the skills of others, while also using your own skills to improve those around you. Being an athlete also requires a certain level of self-accountability and a mental
fortitude that can only be supplied personally. Anyone can participate, but if an individual wants to be competitive, they must take their own time to better themselves and must be
able to address their imperfections when no one is telling them to. After years of being involved in athletics I have learned that it is important not to become complacent in any aspect of
life and that by consistently pushing my own boundaries, no challenge is out of reach.
Outside of my academics and athletic life, an about me page would be incomplete without addressing the important people that make me who I am. Without a doubt, the most important thing in my life
is my family, and I have been fortunate enough to grow up with a very large family, full of people who convince me to take each new day as an opportunity to become a better version of myself.
My two brothers, Ian (middle) and Tyler (left) are both very smart and talented individuals, and each in their own respect have served as role models across the many communities they are apart of.
This quality is something that I personally strive to emulate. In my own communities I wonder, what is it that I can do to improve the environment around me, and what can I do myself that I would
expect from a leader. This mindset has continued to be a source of success in the places that I go and has helped me to build friendships, with many diverse people, that are strong enough to withstand
the test of time.
